FroXx Classics at Die Oldtimer Show

The old-timer’s show took place last week. Froxx Classics were at the show, presenting Volkswagen’s finest cars. Froxx Classics Oldtimer manager Alex Beyer Fernandez was there, so we interviewed him to find out more about what the show was all about.

So, Alex, can you tell us a little more about the show?

Yes. The old-timer’s took place in Paaren- Glien, a village in Brandenburg, here in Germany. As the name suggests, the car show was about classic cars that their owners had brought out for a day amongst other like- minded people.

How did Froxx Classics prepare for the show?

We only found out about the show 14 days before it took place! Suffice to say, we worked really hard over the fortnight to get ready for the show, registering the cars we would enter and buying tickets.

What models did Froxx Classics present at the show?

It may come as a surprise to nobody that we presented Volkswagens! We took two cars from our collection. One was a 1965 VW Beetle in beautiful red and white paint. The other was a 1970 VW Bulli T1 Samba, a campervan in a brown- beige colour.

What was your favourite car at the show?

To be honest, I liked them all, they were all so good! There were so many classic cars from a lot of different brands. There weren’t just European brands either, but there were also American cars from brands like Lincoln and Cadillac.

What was your favourite part of the show?

It might be obvious, but the cars! I really liked the fact that the owners made the effort to prepare their cars for the show, all of them looked amazing and they were also presented beautifully. The rows of classic cars looked amazing out in the open and people absolutely loved the experience.

Finally, were there any cars that really caught your eye? What was interesting about them?

Yes, there were many old cars from Volvo. This is especially interesting to me as during my childhood, we had a Volvo and it brought me back to my youth, it was quite nostalgic.

Well, you sound like you had quite a fun time there! Thanks for the interview!
